Working steps of ASE compacting and pelletizing system

1. Feeding: As standard design, lumps or thick flakes after crushed are conveyed into the extruder through the screw loader. Motor drives of loading and hauling devices cooperate with ABB inverters. The feeding speed of the screw loader is fully automatic.

2. Plasticization and degassing: A specialized single screw extruder is used to gently melt the material. The plastic scraps will be well melted and plasticized in a 32D processing section. With a double-zone vacuum degassing system, volatile substances such as low molecular compounds and moisture are effectively removed, especially suitable for heavy printed films and materials with some moisture content.

3. Melt filtration: A regular single-plate/piston double-station screen changer or non-stop double-plate/piston four-station can be installed on the head of the extruder to provide significant filtration performance. The requirements for filter technology depend heavily on the quality of the input material and the planned use of the granules.

4. Pelletizing: The die-face water ring pelletizing system is set as the standard granulating method in the ASE system. The self-adjusting pelletizing head ensures the best granulate quality and long uptime due to consistent blade pressure. RPM of the rotating blades is automatically adjusted based on the melt extruding pressure. Advanced dewatering vibration sieve combined with horizontal-type centrifugal dewatering provides high-performance dried pellets.
