Introduction of Magnetic Separator
Magnetic separation is a continuous process used to separate magnetic materials from non-magnetic ones. The mixture passes through a strong magnetic field, where the magnetic material becomes magnetized and is attracted to the separator surface, then discharged into a chute. This method is widely used in various industries for material purification.
The efficiency of the separator depends on the strength of the magnet and the conveyor speed. The magnet length is designed so that the magnetic material remains in the magnetic field for 0.4 to 0.5 seconds. Strontium Ferrite permanent blocks are used to achieve a surface gauss of 2500. The gap between the magnet and the conveyor is adjustable, with a smaller gap resulting in better separation efficiency. An individual drive is used for the separator and conveyor, and stainless steel splitters are installed between chutes for better performance. A vibrating feeder with two unbalance motors ensures even distribution of material across the belt, improving separation results. Belt-type separators can be supplied for widths ranging from 650 mm to 2000 mm.
Classification of Magnetic Separator
Electromagnetic Type (with control panel): Uses rare earth magnets and ferrite magnets for its magnetic system.
Permanent Type (without control panel): Uses excitation coils for its electromagnetic system. It is typically used in continuous operations with large amounts of iron material.

Operating Principle
Magnetic and non-magnetic materials pass under the magnetic separator via a conveyor. A feeder ensures even feeding onto the conveyor. Under the influence of the magnetic field, magnetic material is attracted upwards toward the magnet face. The attracted material is carried along the cleated belt of the separator and continuously discharged into the magnet chute. Non-magnetic material is carried by the bottom conveyor and discharged into the non-magnetic chute.

Model Selection
1. Before choosing, consider factors such as whether the tape is conveyed, belt width, inclination, material properties, humidity, thickness, amount of iron in the material, nature of ferromagnetic material, iron removal requirements, and usage environment.
2. For higher iron content, choose RCDC, RCDD, or RCDF series.
3. For lower iron content, choose RCDA, RCDB, or RCDE series.
4. When using suspended electric and permanent magnet iron removers, if the material is thick, use WCTG series five parallel rollers to improve iron removal efficiency.
5. If the material cannot be adsorbed by the iron remover, use a metal detector to detect metal and perform automatic iron removal after shutdown.
