Experts suggested that the development of the auto industry should be systematically planned according to the goals set during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan." Within the context of a conservation-minded society, strategies for developing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles must be carefully designed. To meet the target of reducing energy consumption per unit of GDP by about 20% compared to the end of the "Tenth Five-Year Plan," R&D in renewable and alternative energy sources must be prioritized.
