Wet cutting is high-pressure water cutting, which uses ultra-high pressure water jets to form "waterjet" cutting materials. Wet cutting is costly and has limitations in cutting sheet thickness, is not suitable for large thickness cutting and has a low cutting speed. However, the wet cutting range is wide, and it is suitable for various material plates; the cutting accuracy is high, the slitting is small and there is no pollution.
However, there are also dry and wet cutting points in plasma cutting. Dry plasma cutting, also known as air-cooled cutting, is the use of an air compressor to slit the sheet to achieve cooling effect. Wet plasma cutting, also known as water-cooled cutting, immerses the lower part of the cutting plate in water and then performs plasma cutting. The plate is cooled with water, and the dust and part of the arc generated during the cutting process are absorbed. Dry plasma cutting is less expensive, but it is very polluting. Water-cooled cutting pollution is small, but cutting costs are higher.
