Yuchai 30,000 Engine Remanufacturing Project Passes National Acceptance Test

On February 11, 2012, after review by the expert group, Yuchai ’s 30,000-unit engine remanufacturing construction project passed the national acceptance.

Yuchai Corporation's 30,000 engine remanufacturing construction project acceptance assessment meeting was held at Yulin Hotel. Thirteen experts from the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Automobile Industry Association Committee of Experts, the National Key Laboratory of Remanufacturing, the Yulin City Development and Reform Commission, and the Industry and Information Technology Committee, etc., built a 30,000 engine remanufacturing project for Yuchai Keji Co., Ltd. Acceptance.

Yuchai has always advocated the core concept of "green development and harmonious win-win", actively responding to the country's call and fulfilling the scientific development concept. At the end of 2005, Yuchai began to prepare for engine remanufacturing projects. In May 2006, the No. 3 engine plant of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. was established and the engine remanufacturing business was officially launched. In March 2008, it was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission as the first batch of pilot enterprises for the remanufacturing of auto parts and remanufacturing pilot projects began.

After three years of construction, Yuchai’s 30,000 engine remanufacturing projects have been completed and put into operation on schedule. The objectives have been basically completed, and all the indicators have met the requirements of the implementation plan and are in compliance with the requirements of national laws and regulations. In December 2011, Yuchai’s 30,000 engine remanufacturing project passed the evaluation of the Autonomous Region and submitted to the National Development and Reform Commission for review.

At the acceptance review meeting, the experts first accepted the relevant materials and heard a project summary report made by Cai Dawei, deputy director of Engine 3 Plant of Yuchai Joint Stock Company. Afterwards, the group of experts came to the site of the re-manufacturing plant at Sanfa and conducted on-site investigations of the entire plant dismantling and sorting workshop, parts repair shop, assembly test shop and warehouse.

Zhao Huaiyong, a researcher at the Department of Circular Economy of the National Development and Reform Commission, said in a concluding speech that the state attaches great importance to the development of the remanufacturing industry. The remanufacturing industry is an important part of the country's development of strategic industries and energy conservation and environmental protection industries. The National Development and Reform Commission will actively study financial, industrial, and other related policies to further promote the revision of laws and regulations and promote the development of the remanufacturing industry. He hopes that after acceptance, Yuchai Group will be able to make the remanufacturing project bigger and stronger, master the core competition technology of remanufacturing, and strive to become a national leading remanufacturing enterprise.
