RWO, Bremen, Germany, has been a leading supplier of water treatment systems for more than 30 years in the marine industry. Recently, its famous ballast water treatment brand announced that it has received another important contract.
After extensive evaluation of the current ballast water treatment system technology and products, Hammonia Shipping Company GmbH & Co. KG of Hamburg, Germany, decided to use Bremen RWO's CleanBallast products. Prior to mid-2013, the 500 m3/h ballast water treatment system will be installed on four 4800TEU container ships to be built by China's Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
It is reported that RWO currently has more than 50 orders for holding CleanBallast. Since its introduction to the market, CleanBallast has been mainly operational in China, especially in the Yangtze River waters. CleanBallast has a maximum processing capacity of 3,750 m3/h.
