**Real-Time Update from the Scene – Part 1**
I’m currently witnessing a massive fire that has engulfed three out of four three-story apartment buildings located at 848 McIntosh Court in Prospect Heights. This is part one of what will likely be a series of updates as more details emerge about this devastating incident.
This information comes directly from Tyler Tobolt, who has been providing updates on the ground:

**Dispatch Details:**
The fire response included a robust lineup of departments from across the region. Leading the effort were units from Prospect Heights Battalion 9, along with support from North Maine Battalion 1 (RIT), Mount Prospect Battalion 3, and several chiefs including Prospect Heights Chief 900 and 901. Additional resources came from neighboring areas like Northfield Chief 2900, Deerfield/Bannockburn Chief 2000 (IMAT), Des Plaines Chief 6100, and many others.
**Engines:**
Multiple engines responded to the scene, such as Prospect Heights Engine 9 and 39, Wheeling Engine 42, Park Ridge Engine 35, and Arlington Heights Engine 2. Other notable engines included Countryside Engine 412, Hoffman Estates Engine 23, and Lincolnwood Engine 15. Units from various suburban departments also arrived to assist.
**Towers & Ladders:**
Trucks played a crucial role in managing the blaze. Among them were Prospect Heights Tower 9, Niles Tower 2 (RIT), and Des Plaines Tower 61. Additional ladder companies like Glenview Truck 14 and Buffalo Grove Quint 25 contributed significantly to the operation.
**Squads & Tankers:**
Squads and tankers were deployed for specialized tasks. Schaumburg Squad 55, Evanston Squad 21, and Broadview Squad 7 joined forces with Prospect Heights Tanker 9 to help contain the fire.
**Ambulances:**
Medical services were on high alert, with ambulances from Wheeling, Mount Prospect, Des Plaines, and Long Grove among those dispatched. Even smaller departments like Highland Park and Elk Grove Village had ambulances present to handle any medical emergencies.
**Utilities & Support Vehicles:**
Utility vehicles and additional support came from Long Grove Utility 55 (with an ATV) and Northfield Utility 29 (equipped with a light tower). Air support was provided by Air 3.
**CO-Q Response:**
For mutual aid, Rolling Meadows Ambulance 15 and Wilmette Engine 27 were called in to bolster the initial response.

**On-Site Photos:**
Attached are some images taken by Tyler Tobolt. The first photo shows numerous fire trucks gathered at the scene, highlighting the scale of the operation. Another captures Schaumburg FD Squad 55 in action, while the third image features Skokie FD Tower Ladder 16 working diligently against the flames.
---
**Update Notes:**
The fire appears to have spread rapidly due to the structure's wooden construction. Crews are still assessing whether it poses a threat to nearby buildings. Stay tuned for further developments as I continue to monitor the situation.
