Flyability has made a remarkable journey in just under five years. The company recently received an award that highlights its achievements and growing influence in the industrial drone space. Starting with two founders in 2014, Flyability has grown to over 85 full-time employees and is now a leading name in indoor drones and industrial robotics.

Specializing in a technically demanding segment of the drone market, Flyability has served more than 400 clients globally. Their technology has been used in high-profile projects, such as inspecting the Chernobyl site, exploring the Greenland ice cap to study climate change, and being deployed in over 50% of U.S. nuclear power plants. Flyability’s Elios drones are becoming the standard for safely inspecting hard-to-reach areas like boilers, chimneys, tunnels, and storage tanks.

"We're not just building drones—we're focused on improving worker safety, minimizing downtime, and preventing major incidents," said Patrick Thévoz, CEO of Flyability. "The challenges we've faced go beyond just engineering. Understanding the market and developing the right product has been key. Our recent product launches have seen strong commercial success, driven largely by the feedback we’ve gathered from our customers."

The future looks promising for this 2019 winner of the TOP 100 SWISS STARTUP AWARD. With a 50% increase in revenue this year and participation in the prestigious DARPA challenge, Flyability is pushing the boundaries of automation. "In the long run, we aim to provide our customers with actionable data about their infrastructure without any human involvement—making the process seamless and efficient," Thévoz added.
