This state-of-the-art rescue pumper is built on a Spartan Metrostar chassis featuring a 10-inch raised roof for enhanced visibility and comfort. It's powered by a robust Cummins engine rated at 450 horsepower, ensuring strong performance in demanding situations.
The unit is equipped with a Waterous side-mount, single-stage pump capable of delivering 1,500 gallons per minute, along with a 750-gallon water tank and a 50-gallon foam tank to support both fire suppression and hazardous material incidents. A 6,000-watt Will-Burt light tower provides powerful illumination for nighttime operations.
Storage and tool organization are well thought out, with enclosed ladder storage and a dedicated first-due tool compartment that connects directly to the pump access area. The front bumper includes two pre-piped TNT extrication cutters and spreaders, paired with two 100-foot electric extrication hose reels for efficient vehicle rescue operations.
The truck also features Whelen LED lighting for improved visibility and safety. This unit is assigned the Marion Job number 61911 and marks a significant upgrade for the Elk Grove Township Fire Department.
