Back in 2020, Delfast introduced three updated electric bike models, serving as enhanced versions of the Prime, Top, and Partner series. These models incorporate several shared features, many of which were developed based on feedback from Delfast's customers.

Carbon Belt Drive

Delfast's Chief Engineer, Serhii Goncharov, highlights that the traditional chain has always been the weakest link in the e-bike design. Regular chains typically last only a few thousand kilometers and require frequent maintenance. To address these issues, Delfast has replaced the conventional chain with a carbon belt drive, a significant upgrade.

Top 3.0

The carbon belt drive boasts a lifespan of up to 20,000 kilometers, which is ten times longer than the chain used in earlier Delfast models. Additionally, it is lighter and quieter, eliminating the need for transmission lubrication. The rear pendulum has been redesigned to allow easier adjustment of the belt tension. This belt drive system is now standard across the Top 3.0, Prime 2.0, and Partner 2.0 models.

Prime 2.0

Another notable improvement is the upgraded battery, which has a 6% increase in capacity. This enhancement pushes the range record to an impressive 370 kilometers. The new battery is a 48V 70Ah 13S 20P Samsung 3500mAh unit with Bluetooth-enabled Smart BMS for better monitoring and management.

Partner 2.0

All three models—Prime 2.0, Top 3.0, and Partner 2.0—now feature headlights with both low and high beam settings, enhancing safety during nighttime rides, particularly at higher speeds. The high beam illuminates the road brightly and over long distances, ensuring visibility even in adverse weather conditions like rain or fog. This addition reflects Delfast's commitment to practicality and usability year-round.

Additionally, the new models come equipped with an improved motor, delivering 1500W of power with torque reaching 135 N.m. The motor's efficiency has doubled compared to previous iterations. Furthermore, the front brakes have been upgraded to a dual-disc setup, providing superior stopping power and reliability.
