Yuan Longhua said that since the beginning of this year, with the shift in the focus of national economic work, the operating environment and situation of the pesticide industry have also seen new features:

Since last June, relevant departments successively issued documents to further restrict the use of highly toxic pesticides, withdrawing and cancelling production approval certificates for highly toxic pesticides such as benzene-phosphate, and clarifying the content of glyphosate in the glyphosate compounding agent. Regulations, restrictive management measures for paraquat, etc. This series of policies plays an important role in the structural adjustment of the pesticide industry, but in the short term, it may cause difficulties for the production and operation of some enterprises.
Yuan Longhua said that the “12th Five-Year Development Plan for Pesticide Industry†made it clear that by 2015, there will be more than 5 pesticide production enterprises with sales of over 5 billion yuan, and the total number of efficient, safe, economical, and environmentally friendly pesticides More than 50% of the output, the production of high-toxicity, high-residue varieties fell below 3%, the cumulative number of pesticide creation products reached more than 50, and the total discharge of major pollutants decreased by more than 10%. In order to achieve such a goal, the pesticide industry must seize the following key links for development:
First, vigorously adjust the industrial structure. Establish a large-scale pesticide group to increase industrial concentration, strictly control new drug manufacturing companies, optimize industrial layout, speed up technological transformation, eliminate backward production capacity, and focus on the development of high-efficiency, safety, environmental protection products, and new pesticides. The second is to improve scientific and technological innovation capabilities.
