From Jeff Rudolph: May 30, 2021 At around 3:37 AM, Round Lake dispatched to MABAS Box 26-1 after receiving reports of a structure fire at Big Horn Drive in Hainesville. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an intense blaze consuming one unit of a six-unit townhouse complex. The flames had already begun spreading to an adjacent unit, posing a significant threat to the entire building. The initial attack teams worked quickly to contain the fire, deploying master streams to knock down the majority of the flames. Their efforts were successful in preventing further spread, ultimately saving the remaining four units from damage. After extinguishing the primary fire, crews continued to monitor the scene to ensure no hidden embers posed a risk of reignition. This incident serves as a stark reminder of how quickly fires can escalate in residential areas, especially when multiple homes are interconnected. Fortunately, the swift response and coordinated efforts of the firefighting team managed to control the situation before it could worsen. Attached are some photos taken by Jeff Rudolph, capturing the intensity of the fire and the dedication of the firefighters on site. If you have any questions or need more details about the event, feel free to reach out.
