**Real-Time Incident Report by Tyler Tobolt**
It was around 10:40 PM on November 21st when the Crystal Lake Fire Department received a call about a fully engulfed barn fire at 5116 Mt. Thabor Road. They quickly dispatched Engine 341, Engine 343, Engine 344, Ambulance 351, Ambulance 353, Ambulance 354, Battalion 330, Chief 303, Chief 305, and Tender 371 to the scene. Automatic mutual aid was also activated, bringing in a chief and a tower ladder from Algonquin, along with an engine from McHenry designated as RIT.
Just moments later, Ambulance 353 arrived and reported that the pole barn was completely engulfed, with an adjacent structure exposed to the flames. In response, MABAS Box 5-371 was elevated to the second alarm level. Additional resources were mobilized from nearby departments, including engines from Huntley and Barrington Countryside, tenders from Woodstock, Wauconda, Wonder Lake, Fox River Grove, and McHenry. Barrington sent a truck unit, while Cary sent a squad with a cascade system. EMS support came from Carpentersville, West Dundee, and East Dundee, and several chiefs were deployed from McHenry (RIT), Woodstock, and Huntley. Special equipment included Rehab South, an Algonquin Safety Officer, a Cary Safety Officer, AMA 56, a Huntley Safety Officer, and the Salvation Army Canteen.
As the situation unfolded, Fire Station 1 had their quarters changed to accommodate a Lake Zurich engine and a Pingree Grove ambulance. Approximately one and a half hours into the incident, command upgraded to a third alarm, calling in reinforcements such as the Lake Zurich engine, tenders from Richmond, Marengo, and Union, a Cary chief, Rehab North, Air 5, and a Fox Lake engine for relief. Following this upgrade, command requested three additional engine companies, which were provided by Hampshire, Rutland Dundee, and South Elgin.
These images were captured from a subdivision located just west of the fire site.

Galvanized Iron Wire
Galvanized Iron Wire is designed to prevent rusting and shiny silver in color. It is solid, durable and extremely versatile, it is widely used by landscapers, craft makers, building and constructions, ribbon manufacturers, jewelers and contractors. Its aversion to rust makes it extremely useful around the shipyard,in the backyard, etc.
Galvanized wire is divided into hot dipped galvanized wire and cold galvanized wire (electro galvanized wire). Galvanized wire has good toughness and flexibility, the maximum amount of zinc can reach 350 g/sqm. With zinc coating thickness, corrosion resistance and other characteristics.
Hot-dipped galvanized iron wire
Hot dipped galvanized wire belongs to the primary wire products of galvanization. Hot dipped galvanized iron wire is made with choice low carbon steel wire, through wire drawing, wire annealing, rust removing and acid washing, zinc plating and coiling. The common sizes of hot dipped galvanized are from 8 gauge to 16 gauge, we also accept smaller or bigger diameter for customers' choices. Hot dipped galvanized wire with firm zinc coating provides strong corrosion resistance and high tensile strength. This kind of wire is widely used for making handicrafts, woven wire mesh, forming fencing mesh, packing products and other daily uses.
Size range: BWG 8-BWG 22
Zinc coat: 40-240g/m²
Tensile strength: 35-70kg/mm²
