1999 Pierce Aerial Ladder Truck, VIN: 4P1CT02S2XA001357 (17,188 miles). The cab and chassis are also from 1999, and the model is a Quantum. It features a Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine and an Allison EVS 4060 transmission. The truck is equipped with a Harrison 10kw hydraulic PTO power generator. The aerial device is a 105-foot model PAL105, a rear-mounted steel telescoping ladder. It includes a Hale mid-ship split shaft fire pump, model QSMG-150/1500 GPM. There's an Elkhart panel-mounted foam eductor pre-piped to the front cross lay. On the driver’s side, there are two 2.5†discharges, and on the right side, one 2.5†and one 4†discharge. A combination 5†rear discharge allows switching between pump or direct aerial waterway inlet via a valve. The truck has five seat positions, including three SCBA seats (one fold-down jump seat that isn’t SCBA-rated). There's a center-mounted EMS cabinet in the rear of the cab. The only equipment included is ground ladders and an electric fog nozzle for the master stream. The ladders include a 10’ folding, 14’ combination, one 16’ roof, one 14’ roof, one 12’ roof, a 24’ extension, and a 35’ extension. It comes with a current pump test certification from 2018, annual inspection reports, and is up to date on preventive maintenance. The last aerial test was passed in 2017.

- Known issues: The aerial device failed the 2018 annual inspection due to excessive wear in the primary rotation bearing. The rear frame has been repaired multiple times but still shows significant rust scale, rust jacking, and corrosion. The rear suspension has rust holes in the carriers, and the right side needs repair or replacement. The A/C compressor is seized and the belt has been removed. In 2011, the truck was driven into about 4 feet of water.
