Dan McInerney recently visited the construction site for Engine 109's new fire station and captured a series of photos showcasing the ongoing progress. The project is moving forward steadily, with several key areas now fully completed. The first image highlights the north side of the station, focusing on the front entrance and apparatus bays. All interior work in these bays has been completed, including the installation of piping, electrical drops, and Plymovent systems. The space is nearly ready for final touches. Another photo captures the rear of the apparatus bays and the hose tower. This view gives a sense of the structure’s scale and the level of detail being incorporated into the design. The hose tower is already taking shape, with all necessary infrastructure in place. The parking lot on the north side is currently under construction, with concrete pavers being laid down. This shot offers a close-up look at the paver installation, showing the attention to detail that's going into the station's exterior. A separate image focuses on the front entrance area, which will feature a large amount of glass. This modern design element suggests a more open and welcoming environment for both firefighters and the public. Additionally, a photo of the stairwell on the backside of the hose tower provides insight into the internal layout. The structure is becoming more defined, with clear pathways and functional spaces emerging. For those interested in following the progress, previous updates with photos and details can be found here, here, and here. Stay tuned as the new Engine 109 station continues to take shape.
