Dan McInerney recently toured the construction site for Engine 109’s new fire station and captured a series of photos highlighting the ongoing progress. The images provide a detailed look at different stages of the project, from exterior work to interior finishes.
The first photo shows the north side of the station, focusing on the front entrance and apparatus bays. All interior work in these areas is now complete, with piping, electrical systems, and Plymovent units installed and ready for final touches. This marks a major milestone in the construction process.
Another shot captures the rear of the apparatus bays and the hose tower, giving a clear view of the structural elements that are coming together. The hose tower appears to be well underway, with all necessary infrastructure in place.
The parking lot on the north side is also being developed, with concrete pavers being laid down. This detail reflects the attention to both function and aesthetics as the new station takes shape.
A close-up image shows the careful installation of the concrete pavers, emphasizing the quality of the work being done. These details contribute to the overall durability and appearance of the facility.
The front entrance area is another point of interest, with large glass panels planned to create a modern and welcoming atmosphere. This design choice not only enhances the visual appeal but also improves natural lighting inside the building.
Additionally, a shot of the stairwell on the backside of the hose tower gives a glimpse into the internal structure, showing how the building is being designed for both efficiency and safety.
