AWS A5.20 E71T-1C is designed for depositing x-ray quality welds in flat, vertical up, horizontal, or overhead positions. It is ideal for welding low carbon and mild steel, as well as structural and pressure vessel grades. The flux core formulation ensures fast freezing slag, making it suitable for out-of-position welding.
The bead contour is flat to slightly convex, and the slag is easy to remove with minimal spatter, which simplifies post-weld cleaning.
