"Still & Box Alarm at Cicero and Quincy. It's still early morning, around 0630 hours. This is a two-story, ordinary structure measuring 25 by 50 feet. The fire appears to be on the second floor and has spread up through the roof. There are two lines currently being used to combat the flames.
This is a challenging situation given the size and layout of the building. The weather conditions are also less than ideal, which adds an extra layer of difficulty for the firefighters on the scene. I can see the smoke billowing out of the upper windows, and there’s significant heat radiating from the structure.
The crews are doing their best to contain the blaze before it spreads further. I’ve seen some impressive teamwork here, with firefighters coordinating efficiently despite the early hour. It’s always inspiring to witness professionals like these handle such emergencies with skill and determination.
I’ll keep you updated as things progress. For now, all hands are on deck, and the focus remains on extinguishing the fire completely."
